What do babies really think? What did we think when we were babies?

“What’s it like to be a baby? It’s like being in love in Paris for the first time after you’ve had three double espressos.”

Even before I went back to college, when my own children were just little, I remember "knowing" there was way more going on inside those little heads than we knew. In our EGOs we forget that just because we have not discovered something does not mean it did not exist prior to our discovery. (Gravity, for example, was in play long before scientist discovered it!)

Check out this amazing video by Allison Gopnik, Child Development expert! Ask yourself how you were undervalued as a baby? What was the impact? How have we undervalued our own children? What kind of a difference can this information have in the lives of children?
