Todder not eating at the nursery

My 15 month old daughter has just started going to nursery 2 days a week. She was at home full time with my nanny previously. She's not a fussy eater at all and eats everything, even our food but she refuses to eat anything at the nursery. She's happy there, plays with other kids and detaches very well from me and the nanny. Just wanted to know if she will improve gradually.

Thanks,
Meghna
Dear Meghna:

Certainly children do adjust. You may want to find out what is different about the food. Is it saltier? Is she use to having her nanny fix her what she wants versus having to eat whatever is being served? More than likely it is about the food.

It can also be about missing the Nanny. Children do become attached to their caregivers. Just a thought. Regardless she will get hungry and eat again. If she starts to lose weight check with your pediatrician to see if something else is going on.

Best Wishes!
