Physical proximity and emotional responsiveness were what children needed most from their parents to protect them from threatening experiences and to promote attachment security. Christopher Clulow. pg 149, in Attachment Perspective on Couple Functioning and Couples Interventions.

Focusing on fathering research is a must. Realizing that 61% of absent fathers were at the birth of their child we have new questions to ask ourselves. How have we not supported father-child outcomes?

The last trimester of pregnancy can predict infant outcomes 6 weeks after birth.
