Subject: Brushing teeth
Question: Hi Kay,
My daughter is 22 months old.I introduced small, chewable brushes to her from the time she was able to hold n chew things.i even used to clean her tounge with it. Now slowly i intoduced the normal bristle brush(baby brush) but she stopped opening her mouth. She loves to play with my brush so i got a baby brush similar to mine but to no use. Once i put some baby paste on her brush also. She moves around with the brush in her hand but does not open her mouth.what can be done?
Answer: Dear Anou,
Just give her some more time. She is only 2 years old. Don't force the issue and continue to let her watch you brush your teeth whenever you can so she will think it is a game.
